By integrating subjects and organizing collaborative seminars, the College aims to provide a flourishing multi-disciplinary curriculum to provide repository of knowledge for all and prepare students for the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.

 

  • Encouraging Entrepreneurship: Our college fosters an entrepreneurial spirit by providing guidance and mentorship to students and ignite the idea of entrepreneurship in them. Additionally, the college also provides value-added courses for skill development and enabling them to become “Atmanirbhar” and contribute towards “Viksit Bharat” in accordance to the vision of our nation. Students are encouraged to explore their business ideas and transform them into viable ventures such as encouraging students involved in makeup artistry, mehndi artistry, baking, tailoring, etc.

 

  • Skill Development and Value-Added Courses: At our college, skill development is strongly encouraged through the introduction of value-added courses. These programs aim to improve our students' skill sets by providing them with expertise and real-world knowledge to complement their academic studies. By providing a wide array of value-added courses, we hope to extend our students' perspectives and equip them to meet the demands of the working world. The various courses offered are Diploma in Computer Application, Spoken English Course, Yoga Course, Ayurveda and Dietetics Course.

  • Promoting Research: Recognizing the importance of research in academic growth, the encourage undergraduate students to get knowledge about research activities. The college has initiated the construction of a small museum on the local history of the Tanti Bagh area within its campus. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the rich historical and cultural heritage of the locality, fostering a sense of appreciation for local roots among future generations. Faculty members, governing body members, and students are actively participating in research, surveying, and collecting resources for this endeavour. Additionally, the college promotes research on local history and cultural significance through ethnographic surveys, actively involving students in the forefront of these initiatives.

 

  • Sustainable Campus Practices: The College places a strong emphasis on environmental awareness and sustainable practices, fostering a green campus that reflects our commitment to SDG goals of the United Nations. In our pursuit of environmental consciousness, our campus follows a strict “No-Plastic-Zone” policy. The students are actively associated with the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. A distinctive practice taken up by the College has been Tree mapping of the surrounding ward to appreciate and preserve diverse flora and foster a sense of environmental consciousness among our student community. Additionally, establishment of vertical gardens for greenery, mushroom cultivation for sustainable agriculture and vermicomposting as a waste management solution are effective initiative taken up by the College.

 

  • Social Outreach Programmes: The different types of outreach programmes conducted by the College through its students are as follows: Visiting orphanage, Teaching children from slum areas, COVID-19 Combat Initiatives, Distribution of kits during the COVID period among the slum areas, Local awareness and survey of local history, Menstrual Hygiene Awareness campaigns, Duare Sarkar Camps, Participation in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan through poster competitions, cleanliness drives, and door-to-door awareness drives

 

  • Ethnographic Studies and Commitment Towards Local Roots: The College has initiated local ethnographic survey studies as part of our commitment to community engagement. In addition, the students are engaged in oral history preservation projects, documenting the stories of local residents and elders through storytelling sessions and interviews in order to preserve their voices and experiences for future generations. In addition, we are currently building a College Museum that will house local history, ethnography, and culture aimed to preserve our heritage roots.
